Ah young love! Hayley and Sam (Bondi Rescue’s Ryan “Whippet” Clark) struck up a friendship soon after Bec’s character was introduced. The teens bonded over their dangerous graffiti habits and later endured a terrifying hostage drama together before their relationship was rocked when Sam treated her poorly after a night together.

Love triangles are rife in Summer Bay so unsurprisingly, it wasn’t long before Hayley found herself entangled in one. When new boy from the wrong side of the tracks, Mitch Mcoll (Cameron Welsh), arrived in town, Hayley caught his eye. Sam was left heartbroken when Hayley chose Mitch over him, only for Hayley to have her own heart crushed when Mitch then slept with Gypsy (Kimberly Cooper).

Hayley and Noah

After her father’s tragic death, Hayley began falling off the rails and got herself into trouble after partying with the wrong crowd – only to be saved by mysterious motorcyclist Noah Lawson (Beau Brady).

The pair became Summer Bay’s ultimate IT couple of the 00s era – and even somehow manage to pull off 80s-themed costumes for fancy dress parties.

Though they faced their struggles, Noah is Hayley’s one true love.

The couple quickly fell for one another – on and off-screen – eventually tying the knot in an iconic Home and Away wedding. But the course of true love never did run smooth in Summer Bay, and in tragic scenes Noah was shot dead by deranged stalker Sarah Lewis (Luisa Hastings-Edge).

Hayley and Josh

Before Noah’s death, Hayley and Noah’s relationship was rocked by a cheating scandal when the blonde beauty kissed their housemate Josh West (Daniel Collopy). Although Noah and Hayley split and she started dating Josh, their relationship fell apart in the most soap way possible! Alf (Ray Meagher) warned her that he’s having vision of the couple’s future and she will be desperately unhappy, so she called it off.

As Leah’s brother, Alex (Danny Raco) was a beloved member of Summer Bay and close friends for years with Hayley before they took their friendship to the next level.

In a dramatic twist, Alex became addicted to steroids and fell for his ex Brodie. When Hayley was involved in a car crash not long after, she lost her memory and Alex and Brodie grappled with how to break it to Hayley that they were back together. Ultimately they decided to avoid it altogether by telling her they were “going away” and when Hayley’s memory returned she found solace in former flame Noah.

Two iconic Home and Away stars were once embroiled in a steamy on-screen romance! Chris Hemsworth’s Kim and Bec Hewitt’s Hayley shacked up after Noah’s death.

But love triangle woes struck again when Hayley also gets involved Scott Hunter (Kip Gamblin) and later fell pregnant. Unable to figure out whether Kim or Scott is the father, Hayley had a tricky dilemma on her hands.

Though Hayley’s baby was originally thought to be Kim’s, blood tests proved he can’t be the father. Despite still harbouring feelings for Scott, Hayley went ahead with wedding plans to fiancé Kim until she did a runner on the day of the wedding – straight into the arms of Scott. The couple and their baby – which they name Noah – left the Bay for good.
