It’s never easy saying goodbye to one of our favourite TV characters, but we’ve got to admit this one was really tough – mostly because the person in question is so damn cute.
Yes, we’re talking about Home And Away cutie pie Jai, played by River Jarvis.
In last night’s episode we saw Amber take Jai and leave Summer Bay after Dean admitted he was still in love with his ex, Ziggy.
With this Amber tells Dean it’s simply too hard to live together let alone stay when he doesn’t feel the same way about her.
Jai doesn’t understand why Dean isn’t coming away too.
(Channel Seven)The couple breaks the news to Jai that he and mum are going to go stay with his grandparents for a while.
The look on Jai’s face alone broke our hearts and today Patrick O’Connor, who plays his dad Dean, well and truly pushed us over the edge with a heart-felt goodbye post to his tiny co-star.
The Summer Bay star shared a series of behind-the-scenes snaps with River before adding the caption: “What a ride, good job my little amigo ❤️ @river.andhiscurls.”
Fans were quick to lament over the departure and share their farewells, too.
“So cute 😍 he will be so missed 😭❤️,” one wrote.
“Last night episode was so sad I cried going to miss Amber and jai, river did a really good job 👍,” another added.
A third then commented: “😭😭😭 my favourite duo, hope he’ll be back again one day ❤️.”
So cute!
