Home and Away star Ethan Browne is quietly celebrating a small milestone today – and his cast mates aren’t letting it slip by unnoticed.

The actor who plays Tane Parata in the hit Aussie soap turned 29 today, and Instagram is rife with his co-stars wishing him the best… with a few cheeky jabs in-between.

The Kiwi-born lad joined Home & Away‘s line-up at the beginning of 2020, and has quickly made an impression on the show’s loyal fanbase.

Currently with a sizeable 36,000 following on Instagram (which is growing quickly, might we add), Browne is no stranger to the rather shiny bright limelight reserved for the stars of Australia’s beloved soap.

Which is why fans were all the more thrilled when he celebrated his birthday on Wednesday – not least because a bunch of his co-stars decided it would be a prime opportunity to share some candid snaps of the actor.

Kawakawa Fox-Reo, who plays Ethan’s on-screen nephew Nikau, shared a striking snap from his memorable haka scene with the birthday boy and fellow actor Rob Kipa-Williams.

“Rā whānau uncle 45 never looked so good x,” the young actor wrote in a sneaky joke at his slightly older age.

For the record, Ethan is definitely not turning 45 today, unless he’s hiding it really well…

Meanwhile, fellow Home & Away crew member Laura Vazquez, who works in the makeup department, also shared a behind-the-scenes snap of Ethan to mark his special day.

“Ooosh Celebrating Dragon Ball Birthday boy @atlas today. Let the party begin,” she wrote.

The Home and Away cast are undeniably close, with many sharing candid snaps of their time on set together.

Back in August, the birthday boy himself shared a series of candid professional pictures from one of their off-location filming days as he, Rob, Kawakawa, Emily Weir and Courtney Ally went filming in the Blue Mountains.

“Had an amazing time filming in tropical Kakadu 🌴…eer sorry I mean the blistering cold yet beautiful Blue Mountains 🥶 (Chur Covid)…couldn’t have asked for better people to have done it with,” he wrote at the time.

It’s unclear as to whether he’ll be filming scenes on his actual birthday today, but with the above in mind, we’re pretty sure he’ll be feeling the love from his Summer Bay family either way.

Happy Birthday, Ethan!
