She’s known as the charismatic and beloved Marilyn on Home and Away, but today, on August 10, Emily Symons is one of many Sydneysiders celebrating their birthday in lockdown.
Preparing to celebrate her big day in self-isolation, Emily will surely be feeling the love as her Home and Away co-stars line up to share heartfelt tributes on her 52nd birthday.
First up was Emily’s long-time friend and co-star, Georgie Parker, who plays Roo Stewart on the hit Channel Seven series.

Georgie’s post continued, “we’ve been keeping each other amused and coffeeeeed up for 11 years now on H&A. You’re the BEST, I admire you enormously Em. Thanks for sharing your friendship and love. Happy Birthday beautiful.”
The birthday tribute included behind-the-scenes snaps of the cast hanging out in ‘Summer Bay’ together, alongside co-stars like Ada Nicodemou and Lynne McGranger.
Clearly touched by the tribute, Emily commented on the post to say “thank you my darling, what a wonderful true friend you are.”

Meanwhile, Emily Weir (Mackenzie Booth) shared her own cast photo with the caption: “Happy Birthday Emily, our stunning icon.”

Emily’s birthday celebrations come just a few days after she threw a sweet soccer-themed party at home for her six-year-old son.
Given the impressive size of their lockdown celebration cake, the pair may even be sharing in a few leftover slices today.
“Happy 6th birthday my beautiful boy. Look at his amazing cake (that has smarties inside!)” she captioned her post, thanking his school, friends and loved ones for making the day special with video chats and phone calls.
