Learning she’s going to be a mother has softened the star’s controversial stance on her Aussie roots.
Former Home And Away favourite Melissa George prompted an avalanche of venom last year with her outburst about no longer needing “credibility” from her birth country.
But as she prepares to take on her most longed-for role ever – as a mother – the 37-year-old Perth native appears to have had a change of heart, insisting her child with French internet entrepreneur Jean-David Blanc will grow up happily entrenched in its Aussie heritage.
“The first food will be little toast soldiers with Vegemite! That’s a must,” she laughs.
And she hopes her little one picks up our light-hearted approach and “all the humour”.
