John Kennerley was air-lifted from the Bonville Golf Resort on NSW’s northen coast, where he was holidaying with his wife, earlier this morning.

He is now currently Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital Intensive Care Unit following a terrifying fall from a balcony late last night.

“Last night John Kennerley – much loved husband of Kerri-Anne – had a fall while attending a golf event in Coffs Harbour,” her manager Sean Anderson said in a statement this afternoon. “As a result of that fall, John has sustained a serious neck injury.”

“John was placed into an induced coma before being flown this morning to ICU at Royal North Shore Hospital where he is currently being treated by specialists.”

Friends of Kerri-Anne and John’s are rushing to support her in their time of need.

“She’s a very strong woman, but she’d be distraught about this,” a source close to KAK tells Woman’s Day exclusively.

Paying tribute to their incredibly close bond, our source adds, “They’re known by many to have the strongest marriage in Australian showbiz. He worships the ground she walks on, and she’s crazy in love with him.”

Just hours before the horror unfolded at the resort, keen golfer Kerri-Anne and her hubby had been posting happy snaps on social media together. They were celebrating Sydney’s Mardi Gras from afar.

Kerri-Anne and John married at the Sydney Opera House in 1994.

A quarter of a century later, they renewed their vows for one another in a romantic ceremony in Port Douglas.

They have shown unwavering support for one another time and time again, John’s bowel cancer battle and with Kerri-Anne’s fight against breast cancer in 2012.

“He’s always been happy to sit back and let Kerri-Anne take the limelight. He’s her rock in the background,” says our insider.

Our thoughts are with John and Kerri-Anne at this difficult time.
