It’s a rite of passage that many teenagers didn’t get to celebrate last year in the midst of the pandemic.
But this week, Karl Stefanovic and Cassandra Thorburn’s daughter Willow Stefanovic was finally able to attend her first school formal after being invited as a date to a friend’s bash.
Proud mum Cass Thorburn marked the exciting milestone by sharing an album on her Instagram page documenting the 16-year-old’s big night out.
“My girl is shining her light tonight… lucky girl to be invited to a school formal after missing out last year, as they all did,” Cass explained of her daughter, who is actually called Ava but now goes by her middle name of Willow.
“Thank you Dee Dee for hair and makeup. @willowstefanovic,” the mother-of-three signed off the post.

(Image: Instagram)In the snaps, the high school student dazzles in an elegant silk gold slip-dress which she teamed with a gold glomesh purse, a simple gold bangle, gold earrings and a gold necklace.
She finished off her look by sweeping her brunette locks into a messy up-do and opting for a smokey eye and a nude lip.

“Such a beautiful lady. She looks exactly like you,” one person insisted.
“Wow….. stunner. So much like you when you were that age. Hope you are well xx,” another friend agreed.
“She is gorgeous love can see Karl in her in one of these but she is you … glamorous,” a third mused.
“She is a beautiful young lady. Proud mumma I’m sure,” one person said.
Cass and Karl, pictured at an A-list gala in Sydney back in 2008, divorced in 2017 after 21 years of marriage.

Cass shares Jackson, 22, daughter Willow, 16, and son River, 14, with ex-husband Karl.
In May last year, Karl welcomed his second daughter, Harper, with wife Jasmine Yarbrough.
