Within 30 seconds of meeting her groom Ryan Gallagher on Married At First Sight, Davina Rankin knew it wasn’t going to work – and it only took her desperate-to-impress hubby to throw up at the dinner table after eating an oyster on their honeymoon for her to commit to her plans to steal someone else’s man.
“How do I put this… If I am not having a great time or I’m getting pissed off or we’re fighting all the time and all that kind of stuff, then it will get to the point where I’m like, ‘I don’t want to fight with you anymore. I don’t wanna be screaming at you while you’re throwing up on the floor,'” she vents to NW at our exclusive photo shoot.
“Now I’m thinking, ‘What are the other guys like? Are there actual gentlemen on this show? What’s the situation?'”
Now, Ryan and model Davina are set to face their toughest test this week at the dinner party when they’ll come face-to-face with the other newlyweds – and no-one is more frightened for their future than tradesman Ryan himself, who worries his wifey will dump him after she strikes up a flirt-fest with single mum Tracey‘s hubby Dean, 39.
“I had no idea that anything like that could really happen on the show until we had sort of spoken about it,” Ryan confesses, admitting that Davina has indeed already brought up the subject of a wife swap.

She’s got her eyes set on Dean – Tracey Jewel’s hubby.
“Coming into this, I said that we’d go to dinner and that would be bloody it – I didn’t realise that you could swap with anyone or do any of that shit or even try it until just after my honeymoon when I watched the last season and saw Cheryl [Maitland]… that’s when I went, ‘Oh fuck,’ What have I signed up for?” says Ryan.
“I thought we’d just be meeting and greeting the other couples, so I didn’t really give a shit, but I think Dav was a bit more excited than I was…”
