Seven’s new relationship series The Single Wives hosted by Fifi Box follows the four women as they go through what Fifi describes as a “dramatic, emotional and romantic transformation while searching for a second chance at love.

Each of the women, aged in their 30’s and 40’s, has been married before, though each marriage ended in heartbreak.

The women are jumping back into the dating pool with the aide of “the world’s #1 dating expert dating coach”, Matthew Hussey.

Before we follow their journey to find love, it’s time to meet the women of The Single Wives.

Emma Wynne

28-year-old Emma Wynne has been single for three years after leaving a four-year marriage.

Before she started sharing her love life on national television full-time, the Victorian native was a youth worker for the Salvation Army and later became a radio announcer 89.9 LightFM.

Emma’s social media profiles make it clear that the young woman has lived through more than her fair share of heartbreaks, and she got through it all thanks to some sage words of wisdom dished out by Dad.

“I was going through a breakup, and I was incredibly heartbroken. Dad said to me, ‘Darl, I know the purpose of your life is not heartbreak. The purpose of your life is not for you to be in pain. Your next chapter will be bigger and brighter, but it won’t be able to begin until this chapter ends.'”

Spending time working on The Single Wives has reminded the 28-year-old of just how accurate her father’s advice was.

Nikki is a full-time Mum who is also currently studying nursing.

Nikki’s story of heartbreak is beyond tragic. The 32-year-old lost her husband in a motorcycle accident nine years ago while she was pregnant with their son who she gave birth to days later.

“We had a plan for our lives together and it was ripped from my grasp so quickly,” she told Seven.

Since her husband’s untimely death, Nikki has had just one relationship which lasted four years and ended after she realised she “deserved better”.

Nikki’s ideal man would be a role model for her son, nine-year-old Daniel.

Sheridan Buchanan-Sorensen

Sheridan Buchanan-Sorensen is set to be a real standout if the trailers of The Single Wives are anything to by.

The 41-year-old may have two failed marriages behind her, but she’s also a successful business woman and is the mother of two kids from her relationship with her first husband.

She has a “modern” relationship with her children’s father – explaining she actually lives down the street from him.

Her second marriage ended due to “”He was emotionally unfaithful; It was a very traumatic period of my life,” The social media strategist and cafe owner tells Seven.

Sunnie Khakh

30-year-old Sunnie identifies as an “Indian Aussie bogan” – though laughs aside, the office general manager admits that her cultural background has made it difficult to find love.

She was married for the first time when she was just 20-years-old and she tells Seven it ultimately ended because he was “more Indian” than her.

Sunnie uses her social media to share her own makeup tutorials and also runs a lifestyle blog.

What’s Sunnie look for in a man?

“Honesty, selflessness, intelligence, charisma and empathy,” she tells Seven.

The first episode of The Single Wives airs on Seven, July the 18th at 7:30 pm.
