In news that is sure to delight his legion of fans, Woman’s Day hears that comedian Tommy Little is being approached to be the next Bachelor.

The comedian broke hearts across Australia when he shared that he was off the market in a sweet Instagram post last year.

Now, Ten is said to have jumped on the 35-year-old following his rumoured shock split from girlfriend Natalie Kyriacou just weeks ago, with his loss being the network’s gain after their first choice, Ash Williams, 38, had to be shafted following a string of controversies during his time on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.

“The producers are really excited about Tommy and say he ticks all the boxes,” a source tells Woman’s Day about The Project star.

“He’s handsome, funny and already knows how to work a camera. He’s also part of the Network Ten family, which is a huge bonus. He’s a safe bet for them.”

Opening up about his love life in the past, the funnyman admitted the gruelling nature of his job made it hard to hold down a relationship.

“It’s a catch-22. I work nights, so it’s almost physically impossible to date. That said, I get to meet girls much more attractive than me. Usually, the lowest point in their dating life coincides with the highest point in mine,” he told TV WEEK in 2018.

“If you think dating me is going to give you a boost, you’re not shooting for the stars, you’re shooting for slightly under the middle. Aim higher,” he added with his trademark self-deprecating humour.

There were rumours that Tommy and Natalie, who had been dating for just under a year, split around Christmas last year, with the pair fuelling speculation when they unfollowed each other on Instagram.
