It seems congratulations are in order for pro-surfer Sally Fitzgibbons, and her NRL beau, Trent Merrin, who got engaged over the weekend!
Posting a picture to her Instagram, Sally broke the news with a sweet snap of the couple together on a beach in an excited embrace.
Trent, who is currently holidaying with Sally in idyllic Vanuatu, popped the question with a beautiful diamond ring on a romantic stretch of white beach.
Sally, 24, and Trent, 26, have been dating for 18 months.
Speaking to The Daily Telegrath, Trent revealed how “blessed” he was to have Sally.
“Sal and I, we relate to each other like you wouldn’t believe,” said Trent.
“It’s funny sometimes, the conversations we have when things might not be going to plan for one of us.”
“It’s great. I’m so blessed to have found someone like her.”
