Michael Klim and Desiree Deravi’s bizarre showdown
While fellow Derby Day racegoers were busy placing their bets, dual Olympic gold-medallist Michael Klim, 40, and girlfriend Desiree Deravi, 37, seemed to be somewhat preoccupied inside the Mumm tent.
The couple were doing their best to go unnoticed, but fellow punters spotted the pair acting out of character, in the midst of a heated exchange.
Things looked tense between the pair.

Laura Byrne vs. Georgia Love
Bachelor fans may have them pegged as being cut from the same cloth after Matty J fell for Georgia Love on The Bachelorette and then Laura Byrne on The Bachelor.
But that doesn’t mean Georgia and Laura are going to be besties!

According to our racetrack spy, the women were anything but friendly at the Melbourne Cup despite partying in the Mumm marquee together.
“It was obvious the pair were ignoring one another,” our source says.
Our spy says Georgia and Laura avoided each other.
And the award for messiest on field goes to…
Hamish Blake jokingly confessed he’d been “drinking since 7am” and he wasn’t the only celebrity to have hit the Birdcage for a boozy bender!
Newly engaged Pia Miller certainly had reason to celebrate and was spotted looking bleary-eyed alongside her fiance Tyson Mullane.
Fresh from her engagement with Tyson, Pia had cause to celebrate!
The couple announced their engagement last week.
The actress even enjoyed a quick catnap while snapping a selfie.
Sam Frost was seen enjoying a glass of the free-flowing champers in the Mumm tent – and sources say she needed it after narrowly avoiding a run-in with her ex Sasha Mielczarek.
