Whoop! It’s official! Sophie Monk will be hosting the hottest reality show on TV next year, Nine’s version of the reality dating format Love Island, which has gone gangbusters in the UK.
And if that’s not exciting enough, the 37-year-old reveals that her Bachelorette beau, publican Stu Laundy, 44, will be joining her in the idyllic Spanish location while she’s filming the show.
Could the romantic destination be the perfect opportunity for the couple to tie the knot?
We hope so!
I mean, the former Bardot beauty has admitted in the past she’d “prefer to elope!”

“I’m super excited,” says Soph, who’s pumped to be bound for Spain and apart of Love Island’s Aussie makeover. And Stu will be joining her! “Not the whole time, but [he will] definitely visit.”
And she always said they wanted to elope! Could this be the perfect opportunity for a Spanish Bachie wedding? “Oh gosh! He’s still got to get divorced [from his estranged wife Rachel] yet!” laughs Sophie.
Despite their hectic work schedules and plenty of time apart, Sophie isn’t worried about doing long distance. “I’ve done it most of my life. I’m never in one spot,” she explains. “His schedule is pretty flexible as well. If I had someone who worked in an office it would be a bit tricky, so we’ve got the freedom of travelling together.”
Sophie and Stu will be hitting the Spanish beaches together…with fake tans, of course.
Not to worry though, that just means more time for tanning. Right, Soph? ‘I don’t tan, I just burn and peel,” says Sophie matter-of-factly. Ouch! “But I’ll be getting a lot of fake tans, that’s for sure!”
