Sophie Monk has had some bad luck with boyfriends in the past, but the TV star has now found love with a mystery man. And their how-we-met story sounds like something straight out of a rom com.
The Love Island Australia host was flying business class last month when she met the Aussie guy who is mainly based in the US. The two struck up a conversation, and after a few champagnes, the former Bachelorette even leaned in for a kiss.
"I just sat down and he had a sense of humour and I was like, 'Oh, how relieving, sitting next to someone you can have a chat with'," Sophie told 9Honey.
"It was like, 'Good sense of humour, hard worker'… it just happened."
Looks like love really is in the air!
However, that encounter has been the only one between the 38 year-old and her new beau.
"We talk everyday on the phone for like five hours. It's really good but I've only seen him once," the new Vaseline Lip Therapy ambassador told news.com.au.
And seeing as both are constantly travelling for work, their long-distance relationship is working out quite well.
Meanwhile, Sophie's ex Stu Laundy who won her heart in the 2017 Bachelorette finale is about to fight former New Zealand Heavyweight Champion Sonny Bill Williams in a charity boxing match. But there's not going to be a romantic reunion between Stu and Sophie any time soon.
"I've got no regrets as I've got a friend for life … I think Soph and I were meant to be mates like a fate thing," Stu confessed.
