By the age of 19, Sophie Delzio has been through enough to last a lifetime, but ever the inspiring soul, she’s continued to find every reason to smile.

Sophie took to her Instagram last night to share a snap from Valentine’s Day, and going by her very sweet clue, it looks as though she’s found love.

The 19-year-old posted an image of herself smiling widely as she held a rose. In the caption, she simply wrote “It was a very special day indeed”.

It certainly looks as though Sophie was given plenty of love from an admirer, and we can only guess it’s her partner. So sweet!

Sophie was the apple of Australia’s eye from a young age after she was subject to one of the cruellest realities – as a young child, she lost her feet, an ear and some of her fingers when a car ploughed into her Sydney daycare centre just before Christmas in 2003.

She then suffered a heart attack when she was hit by a car and thrown almost 20 metres in another terrible accident in May 2006.

But Sophie pulled through each, and she’s never lost her spark despite unimaginable hardships.

Sophie was dealt two cruel blows before the age of ten.

And she’s continued to chase her dreams throughout her teen years, travelling to London to study sociology and international relations shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic.

She has since returned to Australia and seems to be moving forward with her life just fine – and perhaps with a partner by her side.
