Sandra Bullock took centre stage last night at the LA premiere of her new movie, Our Brand Is Crisis.
And as usual, her longtime buddy George Clooney was there to lend his support. He had his wife, human-rights lawyer Amal, in tow.
George, 54, took turns posing for countless cosy photos with both women – but not once was Amal and Sandra seen close enough to be snapped in the same camera frame, either at the premiere or the after-party.

At the after-party, 51-year-old Sandra happily posed with many other revellers, including her co-star Billy Bob Thornton.
Their awkward avoidance of each other appears to fuel claims that Amal isn’t a fan of her hubby’s Hollywood friends. Earlier this year, an American magazine reported that Amal, whose inner circle includes doctors, lawyers, judges and academics, feels his friends “aren’t really worth their time.”
“To go from that to hanging out with people like Channing Tatum… just isn’t her style,” a source said at the time.
However, with Sandra, Amal’s distaste could be a little more personal.
Sandra and George have been co-stars and friends for more than 25 years, to the point that their public banter borders on flirtatious.
“[Sandra] might say that she’s not attracted to me, but she calls me every night, at three in the morning, drunk, ‘Hey George, what you doing?’” he joked in 2013 when they were both single, before he married Amal. “[It’s] non-stop. And then I just buy her a bottle of tequila.”
For her part, around the same time, Sandra described George as “Very, very handsome. If you like that kind of dashing, charming, smart, talented, successful kind of thing.”

These days, Sandra is in a new relationship with photographer Bryan Randall, whom she officially debuted on the red carpet last night.
But that didn’t stop her and George sharing a tender moment as seen in our photo earlier in this story.
Sandra was pictured publicly with her boyfriend Bryan for the first time last night.
Amal is also said to dislike George’s other female friend Angelina Jolie. Neither Angie nor Sandra attended George and Amal’s wedding.
A source close to Sandra admits that perhaps Amal’s rumoured jealously over Sandra and George, though, is somewhat justified.
“After a few drinks, all [Sandra] does is talk about him… but now he is married so she has too much respect to mess with that,” says the insider.
Unfortunately for Amal, it seems that George won’t be drawn into choosing between his marriage or his longtime friendship with Sandra – especially because of his bond with her son, Louis, five.
“She’s a really dear friend,” says George. “She’s a good mom. She takes very good care of Louis. But Louis does prefer a little man time in there.”
