Sam Wood has been a staple in the Aussie media landscape since shooting to fame as The Bachelor in 2015. From sharing his fitness expertise on Better Homes and Gardens to appearing on countless national radio shows, it seems there’s nothing the father-of-three shies away from.
But there’s one show Sam won’t be appearing on anytime soon; SAS Australia.
While Sam wouldn’t rule out starring on the gruelling military-style reality show in the future, for now, he admitted it would be a firm “no”.

(Image: Instagram)“I don’t know, maybe one day. I think for me it’s not, ‘Would you want to do that?’, because the answer to that is absolutely,” he told Yahoo.
“It’s, ‘Do you want to go away for 10 weeks now when you’ve got a pregnant wife and a two-year-old and a four-year-old?’, and the answer that is just no. For me, it’s purely a family decision, no other decision other than that.
Sam revealed that if he was asked to appear on *SAS Australia when the “time is right,” he would absolutely take on the challenge.
Sam said he couldn’t be away from his family while Snezana is pregnant.
(Image: Instagram)Sam admitted he’s received “plenty” of offers to appear on reality TV shows throughout the years, but hasn’t wanted to be apart from his growing family.
“Some of them it’s like, ‘No I don’t think that’s for me’. Others it’s more because they’re filmed in Sydney and they’re filmed for long periods of time and then there’s Covid and all these other considerations,” he said.
However, if the right opportunity came up that would fit in with his family and busy career in the fitness industry, Sam would happily sign on, adding that his favourite reality shows are Celebrity Apprentice and The Voice.
For now, Sam is busy growing his wildly successful 28 By Sam Wood fitness program, while he and his wife Snezana await the arrival of their third child together.
The pair, who met on the 2015 season of The Bachelor, already share Willow, four, Charlie, two, and Snezana’s 16-year-old daughter Eve, from a previous marriage.
Sam and Snezana took to Instagram in November to announce their pregnancy, writing: “Our ‘little’ family is about to become 6 with another little girl !!!”
