Just days after Woman’s Day exclusively revealed that Sam Frost’s boyfriend Dave Bashford had pleaded guilty to cocaine possession, the former Bachelorette star has been snapped looking seriously distressed while filming on the set of Home And Away.

Now an insider close to the 30-year-old TV starlet has come forward claiming that behind closed doors, the couple have dealt with their share of problems since they started dating in 2017.

It hasn’t been smooth sailing for Sam and Dave, says an insider.

“They had some issues over money because Sam was earning pretty well with her radio and TV work, and not long into their relationship he owed her money for furnishing his apartment,” claims

the source.

The insider also tells that Sam has raised eyebrows among 27-year-old Dave’s friends after becoming jealous over his interactions with other women.

“There was a group of people at Waverley Bowls Club and Dave was talking to a mate’s girlfriend, and Sam went up to him and chastised him over it,” says the insider. “Dave was so embarrassed.”

Meanwhile, Dave’s friends are said to be increasingly concerned for the defence worker, who could be removed as a navy diver if he was found with drugs in his system.

A NSW police statement revealed that on May 4 a covert drug operation saw Dave, 27, cautioned and arrested for possession of a prohibited drug.

Dave pleaded guilty to the charge at Waverley Local Court on June 4 and a source close to Sam previously revealed to Woman’s Day that behind the scenes the Home And Away star has been left shaken by the charges.

“She’s been struggling with the whole situation.”

“It’s been a complete blow to her… Sam is extremely private and protective of Dave and their relationship, and something like this happening just puts such a strain on them.”
