Founder of PR firm Sweaty Betty Roxy Jacenko’s explosive interview on Sunday Night has aired more than just her dirty laundry with husband, Oliver Curtis.

In a segment, which aired on Channel 7, Roxy revealed that she not only blamed her husband for giving her cancer, but for her infidelity and the “fast life” in which she came consumed with.

In June 2016, Curtis was sentenced to one year in jail for insider trading, and this was the beginning of a treacherous year for the pair.

“I was very resentful. You know, I looked at my life, and I was like, how am I even in this position? How has this happened to me? You know. I’d worked hard my whole life; I have tried to do the right thing. You know, how am I in this position?” Roxy said.

Revealing her struggles to Melissa Doyle, Roxy admitted that she “started living a life as soon as Oli went to jail that was fast”.

“I didn’t eat and went out and indulged in things I shouldn’t have indulged in. I had cancer. I weighed, like, 45 kilos,” she said. “I went rogue, basically.”

Roxy’s partying lifestyle saw her going out and coming home “at all hours of the morning.”

“I basically lost my marbles,” she said, then revealing that she crashed Oliver’s car and had no idea how she had even done it.

While her life was consumed with all things “fast”, including a very public affair with ex-boyfriend Nabil Gazal, it was the couple’s two children, Pixie, seven and Hunter, four, who ultimately prevented her from going completely off the rails.

“I wouldn’t have coped. But the only thing that stopped me was the fact that and they needed me,” she said.

During his prison stint, Roxy chose to tell her children that their father was in China, which was met with split public opinion.

“I remember she said, ‘Oh, where’s Dad, and why isn’t Dad coming home?”

“Because it was the first thing I thought of. And everyone was like ‘how could you lie to your child?’ … but what could I say? It was bad. I’ll never forget it.”

In June 2017, Oliver was released from Cooma Correctional Centre and greeted by Roxy and his children who were waiting for him in a private jet.

Not only was Roxy battling with her husband’s conviction and life as a single mother, she then received the terrible blow that she had breast cancer.

“I said to him [Oliver], It’s your fault. This is all your fault,” she said during the interview, and the revealed she had outright blamed him for giving her cancer.

“I felt bad saying it, but, to be honest with you, at the time you know I was very resentful. I was resentful that I had to be on my own. I had to work. I had to look after the children.

“I didn’t … I couldn’t cope. I had a nervous breakdown.”

Oliver, who now works as CFO at Roxy’s PR firm Sweaty Betty, told Melissa that he “regretted” his decisions which led to him being in prison.

“You can’t not regret it. I was a kid, you know? I was a silly kid. I remember my old man telling me that you fly too close to the sun, your wings get burnt. And that’s just what happens.
