She’s the world’s most successful ‘plus size’ model but Robyn Lawley tells The Weekly why she loathes the pesky label.

The stunner from Down Under whose killer curves are challenging the strict size ideals of the fashion business says it’s time to ditch the confusing labels.

“People say, ‘How dare you call yourself a plus model? You’re messing up so many girls’ minds and you should be ashamed of yourself!'” Robyn says.

“A lot of people write to me saying I should be ashamed of myself because I’m contributing to body dysmorphia and that really hurts.

“I never gave myself the title ‘plus-size’, I was happy to model at any size.”

The 25-year-old maintains that by fashion standards she’s a far-cry from the super-slim size six that normally denotes a regular model.

“My size is still an Australian 16, so having people telling me I should be ashamed of myself? That’s really insulting,” the 6ft 2 beauty says.

So what’s the solution? Lawley says the modelling industry and media need to do away with the technical tag used by those within the industry because it’s too confusing for regular folk to understand and it draws negative connotations.

“I have been saying for years, let’s just get rid of the label because it’s causing regular people who aren’t in the fashion world to look at my body and say, ‘Well if she is plus-size, what does that make me?'”

Robyn has posed for The Weekly’s November issue, returning to her childhood stomping ground of Sydney’s West for a glam photo shoot set in suburbia.

The gorgeous former-Vogue Italia cover girl also exclusively revealed to The Weekly that she is expecting her first child due in February and shows off her small baby bump in the stunning images.
