Robert Pattinson has apparently well and truly moved on from Kristen Stewart as he has been spotted out and about with his new girlfriend, British singer FKA Twigs.
The Twilight star has apparently been dating the fellow Brit, whose real name is Tahliah Barnett for over a month. They were spotted strolling down the street together with friends in New York last week and it’s believed that the relationship is: “the real thing”.
A friend of the singer reportedly confided to The Sun: “It’s the real deal between Rob and Tahliah. They had been able to keep their relationship secret until recently, but they’re already smitten.
“He’s been taking her on dates for the last month or so, and has even flown her out to stay with him in New York. He also loves going to her gigs.”
With Tahliah, 26, who is known by her stage name of FKA Twigs, a rising star in the world, she is reportedly keen to keep things low-key as she wants to establish herself as a respected musician and doesn’t want to simply be known as ‘R-Patz’s girlfriend’.
“She’s worried about being bogged down by constant comparisons to Kristen,” the source said.
The alternative British singer was previously a backing dancer for artists including Kylie Minogue, Jessie J and Ed Sheeran but is starting to make her mark in the music world with her new album LP1. She was born in Britain to a Jamaican father and Spanish/English mother and is known for her quirky style, bizarre music videos and ethereal singing voice. She was also praised by hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg in the interview below.
Kristen Stewart meanwhile is currently on the other side of the planet in Japan where she is promoting her new film with Nicholas Hoult, Equals. We wonder what she’d think of Rob’s quirky new beau?
