Popstar Robbie Williams and Ayda Field have welcomed a beautiful baby boy to the world – but only after Robbie decided to share with the world the whole painful process of his wife in labour!
Poor Ayda, 35, must be one of the most patient women in the world to put up with Robbie’s antics and also for having such a difficult personal experience shared by her husband for all the world to see.
Robbie seems to have turned the occasion into quite the entertaining spectacle, at times making it more about himself than his wife. At one point he tells the camera “Don’t worry about me -I’m hanging in there”.
At another stage after Ayda has what looks like a very long and painful contraction, Robbie asks what she thinks of his pants!
Robbie, 40, even went as far as to break into song and dance in the maternity ward – lip-syching along to one of his own songs. At a later stage he can be heard belting out the song from Frozen before Ayda, clearly in pain, tells him to “Stop singing Frozen!”
No doubt the songs and the jokes must all be some kind of misguided attempt to soothe Ayda but frankly, it would probably make most of the rest of us want to punch him in the face.
At the end of it all, Robbie posted a video announcing the birth of their baby boy, captioned with: “No Moms Were Harmed…” Thank you for sharing the journey with us, we have been blessed with a baby boy. RW x”.
In the video he can be seen sitting on the bed with a relieved looking Ayda as the pair of them proudly announce: “He’s here!”
They reveal that Ayda had a boy, and that he’s 8lb2oz.
Robbie said: “I’ve never been more in love. I’ve never been more proud of my wife”
“It’s been a very emotional and amazing couple of hours and we’re really happy and honoured that you experienced the journey with us.”
The baby is the second child for the happy couple, who welcomed daughter Theodora Rose in 2012.
Nap time in the hospital room…We’re sure Ayda earned it more than Robbie though!
Robbie Williams seems to have spent the whole birth cracking jokes while poor Ayda suffered through the pain!
Things started off very civilised as Robbie revealed that Ayda had checked into hospital – wearing a glamorous pair of heels.
Ayda seems to finally have had enough of Robbie’s antics as he belts out a tune while she is clearly in a lot of pain. She tells him: “Stop singing Frozen!”
By the time Robbie posted, this Ayda looked as though she’d had just about enough!

Finally though, comes the pair’s happy announcement – many congratulations to the happy couple!
