He may be a famous face on Aussie shores, but Richard Wilkins isn’t as popular as he may think overseas.
Over the weekend, the Today reporter attended Karl Stefanovic and Jasmine Yarbrough’s extravagant Mexican wedding, but when a British guest asked what he did for a living, Dickie hit the roof.

According to The Daily Mail, a wedding guest from the UK was making polite conversation with the veteran Channel Nine entertainment reporter, 64, despite having “no idea who he was.”
And while that may seem like a fair question to ask, Dickie went into a bit of a meltdown.
“Richard apparently aghast, blustered: ‘Don’t you watch television?’ and walked off in a huff,” spilled the source.

After that awkward exchange, the source revealed that the guest was left feeling rather confused and thinking: “Who the hell was that?”

That may have put a dampener on Dickie’s day, but the rest of Karl and Jasmine’s wedding guests appeared to be in fine form.
Karl’s brothers Tom and Pete Stefanovic served as groomsmen, with Tom’s wife Sylvia Jeffreys also in attendance. Other notable guests included model Montana Cox, My Kitchen Rules star Della Muscat, fashionista Louise Roe and even former deputy PM Julie Bishop and her partner David Panton.
Richard was accompanied by his girlfriend Virginia Burmeister and son Christian ‘Prince’ Wilkins who shared some candid snaps from the festivities.
One featured the model, 23, sporting a “subtle crop top” at the welcome drinks whilst his second showed him partying with former Australia’s Next Top Model winner, Montana Cox.

The bride and groom did have to deal with a few dropouts though.
Karl’s friends James Packer, who was rumoured to be best man and Kyle Sandilands could not attend while other faces including Georgie Gardner and Lisa Wilkinson, Karl’s current and former Today Show co-hosts respectively, missed out on invitations altogether.
Karl, 44, and Jasmine, 34 exchanged vows at the One&Only Palmilla resort in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico in front of 200 friends and family on Saturday evening followed by a beach front black tie reception.
The newlyweds wrapped up their three day wedding celebrations with a flamboyant Studio 54 themed party complete with Julie Bishop on the decks so hopefully Richard had a bit of fun there too.
