Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, are on official tour of France and Greece this week. But that doesn’t mean they’re not thinking about a certain royal event reaching fever pitch: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding.

While visiting a flower market in Nice, France the father-of-the-groom and his wife stopped to share their excitement about the impending nuptials.

When asked how he was feeling about his son Harry’s marriage to Meghan, Charles reportedly said, “It’s absolutely marvellous. I’m sure it will be a very special day for everybody.”

Meanwhile, Camilla shared what a treat it has been to get to know the bride-to-be in the lead up to the bigger than big day.

“It’s very nice, all very exciting,” she said, adding of the big day: “We can’t wait.”

According to royal correspondent Richard Palmer, the royal duo also called Meghan “a great girl.”

The royal couple are expected to fly home to the U.K. later this week, leaving plenty of time to prepare for the royal wedding.

Charles, 69, and Camilla, 70, opened up about the impending nuptials while visiting a flower market in Nice, France.

Duchess Camilla also commented on what it’s been like getting to know the bride-to-be in the lead up to the wedding.

Harry, 33, and Meghan, 36, will exchange vows at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on May 19.

Meghan will be walked down the aisle by her father, Thomas Markle, while her mother, Doria Ragland, will escort her from an undisclosed location to the chapel for the ceremony.

The arrangement — while beautifully including both parents — represents a break with royal tradition. Typically, the bride travels with her father before he gives her away in the wedding ceremony.

Meghan has a very close bond with her mother, so it’s no surprise that she’s breaking royal tradition to include her in the day’s proceedings.

Meghan is pictured with her dad as a baby.

Confirming the news on Friday, a Kensington Palace spokesman said:

“Both of the bride’s parents will have important roles in the wedding. On the morning of the wedding, Ms. Ragland will travel with Ms. Markle by car to Windsor Castle. Mr. Markle will walk his daughter down the aisle of St. George’s Chapel. Ms. Markle is delighted to have her parents by her side on this important and happy occasion.”

Thomas, a retired lighting director who lives in Mexico, and Doria, a yoga teacher and social worker, who lives in Los Angeles, will travel to the U.K. ahead of the wedding to meet Her Majesty, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, Camilla, and Prince William and Kate.

The rendezvous will also be the first between Harry and Thomas, who have (to our knowledge) only ever spoken over the phone.

Exciting times! Less than two weeks to go…
