Plans to switch off Bobbi Kristina’s life support on anniversary of Whitney Houston’s death denied

Bobbi Kristina Brown life support

A source close to Bobbi Kristina Brown’s family has rubbished reports that she will be taken off life support on the anniversary of her mother, Whitney Houston’s death.

As the 21-year-old remains in a medically induced coma at the Emory University Hospital in Atlanta,a source close to the family says there is no truth to the latest reports.

Meanwhile, Bobby Brown has released a new statement via his lawyer regarding inaccurate reports.

“We support the candlelight vigil for Bobbi Kristina. The Brown family is amazed by the love and support from all that attended. However the false reports that continue to appear in print and on the Internet are egregious, false and will be dealt with at an appropriate time,” he said.

“In particular, the false reporting of TMZ, The National Enquirer, The Atlanta Journal Constitution and the Daily Mail (UK) citing, police sources, family sources and Bobby Brown himself, will receive my attention.

“The desire to be ‘first’ has clouded the judgment of many reporters as they forgo accuracy. This is a criminal investigation and the integrity of that process requires silence.

“We continue to request privacy in this matter. We thank everyone that supported the vigil for Bobbi Kristina. God is hearing our prayers.”

Hundreds of people have attended a public candlelit vigil for Bobbi Kristina in Atlanta, Georgia, where her family joined members of the public to pray for the only daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown.

Bobbi Kristina was found unresposive in her bathtub on February 1 just before 10:20am. It is unknown how long she spent without oxygen. Her boyfriend Nick Gordon immediately started CPR and called emergency services who are treating the incident as a medical investigation.

Meanwhile, her family are remaining positive with Bobby Brown’s nephew Shayne Brown saying his cousin is improving.

“She’s getting better,” Shayne told Entertainment Tonight following the vigil. “We just ask for people to continue to pray. Krissy will be good. Everything will be alright.”

He added his uncle had been by his daughter’s bedside since she was admitted to hospital.

“Uncle’s in good spirits. It’s just family issues right now. Uncle just wants his privacy. The family wants its privacy.”

Both the Brown and Houston families, including Bobbi Kristina’s grandmother Cissy Houston, have continued to hold prayer sessions in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital where Bobbi has remained in a coma for the past 10 days.
