He is one of the most controversial voices in the Australian media, she is a hard-partying glamour model turned ‘nutritional mermaid’, and together Pete Evans and Nicola Robinson form one of the most intriguing partnerships on the planet.
The My Kitchen Rules judge made his name creating popular pizza chains in Sydney. While Nicola, formerly Nicky Watson, lived a hard and fast life, modelling, taking drugs and partying. But these days life looks a lot different for the couple.
Both Pete, 45, and Nicola, 40, have traded in their former identities for a new age life on their rural property in New South Wales Southern Highlands.

Pete and Nicola’s marriage
Nicola and Pete met in 2011 and got engaged under New York’s Manhattan Bridge in 2014. It’s believed the 40-year-old wellness blogger introduced Pete to the Paleo diet.
In 2015, the couple traded their Bondi home for a life in rural NSW, purchasing a 10 hectare farm for $1.2 million.
The couple married in 2016, in a private barefoot ceremony at their rural retreat. Just a handful of guests including Pete’s daughters, Chilli, 14 and Indii, 11, were in attendance.

Pete and Nicola live a unique life. In fact, living by a strict Paleo diet may be the most ordinary aspect of their relationship.
The spiritual duo are often pictured on their social media accounts naked and resting their heads against their pet horses.
Nicola also practices meditative tea ceremony’s, where she sits cross-legged, bra-less and sometimes accompanied by a cat.
On the the couple’s property, clothing is optional. During an appearance on Sunrise, Pete explained the couple were “usually” naked on their farm.
“That’s the beautiful thing about having a farm, why do you need to wear clothes?” he said.
Pete and Nicola refer to their bodies as “earth suits”.
Their previous marriages
Pete and Nicola both had previous marriages.
In 2011, Pete split from his partner of 11 years, Astrid Edlinger, with whom he has two daughters. Fame, it was reported at the time, had changed him, said The Australian Women’s Weekly.
Pete’s ex-partner Astrid has found her calling running House of Chocolates, a colourful confectionery shop in Sydney’s Bondi that sells a vast range of sweets and distinctly un-Paleo ice-cream. Astrid says she and Pete have an amicable relationship.
Nicola was married to millionaire Warriors league club owner, Eric Watson. Nicola has also been linked to Sydney nightclub boss Justin Hemmes and ex-All Blacks star Matthew Ridge.
