Forget the red carpet – it was purple power at the People’s Choice Awards in 2022.
As some of Hollywood’s biggest names arrived in Santa Monica, California, for the awards show – which is voted by the public – TV Week was on hand for all the action.
Grey’s Anatomy scooped up Best Drama Series and Female TV Star of 2022 for Ellen Pompeo. It was a fitting farewell for the actress, who will step down as Meredith Grey after the finale of the 19th season.
Mariska Hargitay, Ryan Reynolds and Ellen Pompeo were some of the big winners on the night.

Singer Shania Twain accepted the award for Music Icon of 2022 after delivering a medley of her hits – including ”Man! I Feel Like A Woman” – while Lizzo took being named People’s Champion seriously, choosing to share the stage with 17 activists and discuss their work.
Movie star Ryan Reynolds thanked his family, including wife and actress, Blake Lively, and posed for photos with both fans and his peers, proving his broad popularity.
Meanwhile, TV Week came within arm’s length of the famous Kardashian clan, who won Best Reality Show, as they breezed past surrounded by security.
When the award was announced, Khloe was forced to run from backstage, anaware their show had won.
With so many stars and so little time, it was hard to know where to look. But for Hollywood, it was just a regular Tuesday night.
