Hugh Jackman and Deborah-Lee Furness’ son Oscar has found love – and she’s got a Sex and the City link

Hugh Jackman and Deborra-lee Furness are thrilled their son Oscar has found love – with a young woman who shares a similar past.

Grace Hingston-Hurtado is the daughter of Aussie actor Sean Hingston and his American husband TV producer Brad Hurtado, who are best remembered for playing gay couple David and David, who tried to sleep with Samantha Jones on Sex And The City.

The couple adopted Grace, 20, from San Antonio, Texas, in 2000 – the same year Hugh and Deb adopted baby Oscar, now 20, from a family in Vinton, Iowa.

Last week, wishing Grace a happy birthday, New York-based Oscar described her as “the love of my life” and shared a photo from September where they cuddled up close on a boating trip.

A source reveals, “Oscar and Grace are adorable together. Given they have similar upbringings I’m sure they’ve bonded over that.”

“Oscar also loves that she’s an Ausmerican, and adopted, just like he is.”

“It’s wonderful seeing them enjoying young love, and Hugh and Deb are so pleased that he’s happy.”

“Oscar wants to go to Australia with Grace as soon as they can so they can see it as a couple.”

Their happy relationship is said to be putting a smile on the whole family’s face after what’s been an incredibly tough year for everyone across the globe, with Hugh and Deb admitting they’ve struggled being so far away from Australia.

“It’s a huge relief to Hugh and Deb that Oscar’s found someone who is so down to earth and really understands all aspects of his life – that’s exactly what any parent wants for their child. There’s a bizarre synergy between them, given that Grace’s parents are also performers.”

Grace’s dad Sean revealed in an interview in 2010 he wouldn’t be surprised if she went on to work in the industry, but not as an actor.

“Grace is doing great but doesn’t seem to have any interest in performing. She’ll probably become some sort of director because her idea of playing is coming up with little plays and telling me and Brad what to do and how to do it.”

Oscar seems to be following in the footsteps of his philanthropist mum by becoming an impassioned environmentalist and human rights campaigner.

Woman’s Day understands the college-aged kids, who both attend school in New York state, met through mutual friends and have become inseparable.

Grace lives in Brooklyn with her two dads, which is a short jaunt to the West Village penthouse apartment Oscar shares with his parents and his sister Ava, 15.

It’s not just Oscar’s parents who are famous screen stars. Grace’s dads Sean and Brad starred as shirtless hunks in an episode of Sex And The City called Was It Good For You?

The risqué scene saw the gay couple get into bed with Kim Catrall, aka Samantha Jones.

Sean said of the gig, “I had auditioned for the show a few times, and they seemed to like me. The role of a gay couple came about, and my agent thought of my boyfriend Brad and me. It’s a story to tell our grandchildren.”
