Patti Newton has joined the slew of celebrities honouring Olivia Newton-John following the heartbreaking news of her death.
In the special tribute, the performer took to Instagram to share an old photo of the Xanadu star next to the love of Patti’s life, the late Bert Newton.

(Image: Instagram)“This beautiful lady has been an inspiration to us all,” Patti wrote in the caption, before paying a special nod to Bert.
“Always in our hearts. Look after her Bert. Love you both xxxx.”
The tribute was quick to garner plenty of support from the widow’s nearest and dearest.

It was announced yesterday that Olivia, who had long been battling cancer, passed peacefully at her ranch in Southern California surrounded by family and friends.
Her husband John Easterling was the one who confirmed the news in a post to social media, saying that she was “a symbol of triumphs and hope”.

Olivia’s death comes eight months after Bert Newton’s passing similarly rocked the nation.
At the time, the Grease star paid tribute to the entertainer who she knew since she was a teenager.
“Bert Newton was a kind, funny, quick-witted man whom I was lucky enough to have known since I was a teenager starting my career in Melbourne,” Olivia wrote on Instagram following the news.
“Everyone in Australia loved Bert! He was the perfect TV host and a loveable, charming person with the rare gift of perfect comic timing.”

Patti is far from the only celebrity to pay homage to Olivia, with stars such as John Travolta, Kylie Minogue, Hugh Jackman, and more sharing tributes for the late actress.
“My dearest Olivia, you made all of our lives so much better,” John Travolta wrote.
“Your impact was incredible. I love you so much. We will see you down the road and we will all be together again. Yours from the moment I saw you and forever! Your Danny, your John!”
