She always finds a way to grab headlines, but this time it’s not of her own doing. Single mother of 14 Nadya Suleman has been handed an eviction notice for Christmas.
The busy mum, porn star and strip club dancer was asked to leave her five-bedroom rented home in Orange County, California, because new owner Lana El-Jor wants the “messy” mother out.
“I have had problems refinancing the building myself because of her,” Lana told the UK’s Mirror.
“That’s one of the things why we have to ask her to leave. The bank refused to support the loan.
“She is said to have left her houses abused, and it worried the bank. It was very messy.”
The new landlord says the 38-year-old, who became an overnight media sensation after conceiving octuplets from in vitro fertilisation in 2009, needs a bigger home for her children.
“Fourteen kids need a bigger backyard, for sure,” says landlord Lana. “I saw they had four bunk beds. I think those were for the little ones. And they had beds in all the other rooms.”
Neighbours say they don’t see much activity coming from the large family home, which is looking the worse for wear and even has broken windows.
“It seems that Octomum or the nanny rarely take the children out, and most of them spend all day holed up in the house as if they’re in hiding,” one neighbour said.
“It doesn’t look like a happy existence.”
