Nigella Lawson has been Britain’s most beloved domestic goddess for about 15 years but the celebrity chef has endured her fair share of lows in the past year.

After photos emerged of her then-husband Charles Saatchi choking her last year, Nigella’s personal life went into freefall.

A bitter court battle followed which saw Nigella admit her drug use while Saatchi and her former assistants did their best to destroy her reputation.

But the 54-year-old has bounced back and earlier this month it was reported that The Taste – a television show that she appears on as a judge – has been recommissioned for a third season in the U.S.

Celebrity chef Nigella Lawson has had her share of success and tragedy.

Her award-winning cookbooks made her a household name.

She lost her mother and sister to cancer when they were both quite young.

Her first husband was journalist John Diamond.

He died of throat cancer in 2001.

Nigella and John had two children Cosima and Bruno, now 17 and 19.

Nigella’s trademark flirtatious personality made her a TV sensation.

The voluptuous chef is known for her curves.

Nigella looked radiant in red.

Nigella married billionaire Charles Saatchi almost ten years ago, and divorced him last year.

Nigella denied being an addict in court, insisting she has only ever tried cocaine seven times in her life.

A happier Nigella attended the ‘Fatal Attraction’ premiere at Theatre Royal in London in March.
