Much-loved actress and mother-of-two, Nicole Kidman, has just been nominated for a Golden Globe award for best supporting actress in a motion picture.
This time around the film in question is Lion, a moving drama which follows the journey of a young boy adopted by an Australian couple on his search for his birth parents some twenty five years later.
Speaking of the award, the 49-year-old actress said, “This nomination is even more emotional and I’m more grateful than ever before. Thank you to the Hollywood Foreign Press!”
Nicole has won three Golden Globes over her epic career for the films To Die For, Moulin Rouge, and most recently, The Hours.
The Golden Globes will be held on January 8 at the The Beverly Hilton in LA.
Oscar buzz has been building for the Aussie star and her role in Lion, and this latest nomination has only helped her case!
But before the hectic award season, Nic is looking forward to a family Christmas with her husband, country rocker Keith Urban.
Speaking with the Herald Sun on Monday, Keith shared that he’ll be spending this Christmas with a few Aussie traditions, including a trip to the beach and a Christmas carol or two.
He said: "We go to the beach for Chrissy, that is what I know to do. Christmas Eve we will get around the piano and bang out some carols."
While this may sound like a familiar Christmas for most of us, we’re sure this family's Christmas carol offering would be pretty spectacular!
The loved-up pair, who have been married for over ten years, share two children together, Sunday Rose, eight, and Faith, five.
