Boyfriend Nick Gordon has been ruled responsible for Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death in a civil suit filed by her estate.

The judgment was handed down after Nick twice failed to appear in court.

“I am pleased with the outcome of today’s court proceedings,” father Bobby Brown told People magazine in a statement.

“All I ever wanted was answers relating to who and what caused my daughter’s death. Today’s judgment tells me it was Nick Gordon.”

No verdict can bring Bobby’s little girl back.

The verdict was reached after the judge deemed him responsible by omission.

He said that neglecting to attend the court was tantamount to an admission of guilt and ruled in favour of the civil suit.

Although Nick has been found civilly liable for his girlfriend’s death, he is yet to be criminally charged.

The allegations against Nick were deemed to be true after he refused to refute them in court.

Sources in the Fultun County District Attorney’s office say the criminal investigation remains ongoing.

The next step in the court process requires Judge T. Jackson Bedford to decide how much money will be paid to Bobbi Kristina’s estate.

Bobby had initially asked for $50 million.

Bobbi Kristina drowned in a bathtub, just like her late mother Whitney Houston.

Meanwhile, the grieving father posted a heartfelt tribute to his daughter after the verdict was reached.

The 47-year-old posted an image full of artwork of him with his late daughter in several different poses.

“#IGOTEM #Babygirl #Daddyalwaysforyourback #justiceforbobbikristina,” Bobby captioned the image.

Despite the ruling, the family isn’t celebrating the decision.

“This has been a long time coming,” a source close to the family told People. “But all the judgments in the world won’t bring Krissy back.”

The insider continued: “We miss her every single day. Even when there’s justice, it’s not comfort.

“She was gone too soon, and we all have to live with that.

“I hope Nick lives with it every day for the rest of his life because we sure are.”
