Just last week he was in good spirits and poking fun of how accident prone he is. But now fresh reports claim music legend Molly Meldrum is seriously unwell.

According to journalist Peter Ford the 73-year-old’s condition has worsened.

“He’s seriously crook. He has revealed to doctors there have been other falls that he’s not reported to them earlier,” Peter explained on 3AW Breakfast.

He also added there is a “possibility of major back surgery and having to get [Molly] on a Medivac flight and fly him back to Australia.”

“He’s crook and you don’t want to be away from home when you’re seriously crook.”

Meanwhile 3AW’s Nick McCallum also revealed the beloved presenter is suffering from a dislodged vertebra that is “awfully close” to injuring his spine.

“A doctor we spoke to said he was very lucky this incident didn’t leave him paralysed,” Nick added. It’s believed Molly’s brother is trying to get him home as soon as possible so he can receive care in Australia.

Last week the veteran entertainment star slipped and fell while he was exiting a taxi in Bangkok.

“I’m a walking disaster. I’m with the doctors now, they’re trying to put everything back together,” the star quipped at the time.

Peter Ford has revealed Molly Meldrum’s condition has worsened.

Molly jetted to Thailand to skip the buzz with the impending Channel 7 mini-series about his life, which is aptly named Molly.

“Even I’m sick of seeing Molly,” he said in the lead up to the show.

In December 2011 the journalist, who has interviewed some of the biggest stars in the world, was admitted to the Alfred Hospital with severe head injuries after fall off a ladder in his Melbourne home.

Molly finally regained consciousness in January 2012, before heading to a rehabilitation centre to complete his recovery.
