Supermodel Miranda Kerr opens up in her latest high fashion spread and reveals how life has been since splitting with Orlando Bloom.

While some might think that the grass would always be greener for model Miranda, the mother-of-one tells Britain’s Harper’s Bazaar that she has had her fair share of ups and downs since separating from Bloom in October 2013.

“Everyone goes through challenging periods in their life,” says Kerr, who married the Pirates of the Caribbean star in July 2010. “That’s inevitable and it’s part of being human. I feel like it’s a daily process to be positive.”

The 31-year-old has always been an advocate of living a holistic lifestyle and she says she has taken an active approach to staying positive to help make it through the shock relationship breakdown.

“It’s something that’s a choice and I have different tools, like meditation, even prayer – my grandmother taught me to pray when I was young – and just finding that inner peace.”

Throughout the stunning June spread, the model looks fit and healthy as she lazes seductively on a beach wearing a matching khaki floral pencil skirt and crop top by Michael Kors.

Despite the divorce heartache, the former Victoria’s Secret angel concedes that she and her ex are still close and maintain an amicable arrangement.

“We speak everyday,” says Kerr. “We’re really close, we’re going to be a family for ever and we really do love one each other.”

“We created something beautiful together and we both remind ourselves how lucky we are to have that. And yeah, it’s good. He’s a great dad. I’m lucky.”

As one of the biggest names in fashion and a thriving business woman in her own right, Miranda says she’s not ready to let any success go to her head.

“The older I get, the more of a perfectionist I become. I feel like I can do better, you know?” confesses Kerr. “There’s always room for improvement. I like to get constructive criticism and I love when people are honest.”

The mother to three-year-old Flynn says she has made sacrifices to spend more time with her son, including terminating her lucrative deal with lingerie giant, Victoria’s Secret.

“It was a big chunk of time I couldn’t commit to because I’m a mother. I used to be in two different countries every single week,” she says of her decision to give up her VS wings.

“I’m very much a people pleaser at heart – I feel that if everyone else is happy, then I’m happy – but I’m learning the power of saying no and putting my foot down.”
