Ever since Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth's split was confirmed earlier this month, rumours have flown left right and centre about the reasons behind the separation.
But perhaps those rumours have gone a little too far, because now, Miley herself has addressed them first hand, and she certainly hasn't held back.
In a series of candid Tweets, the 26-year-old started by revealing why she had decided to speak up.
"I can accept that the life I've chosen means I must live completely open and transparent with my fans who I love, and the public, 100 per cent of the time," she began.
"What I cannot accept is being told I'm lying to cover up a crime I haven't committed. I have nothing to hide," she then wrote, presumably in response to the cheating rumours that have surrounded her and Liam's separation.
"It is no secret that I was into partying in my teens and early 20s. I have not only smoked, but advocated for weed, I've experimented with drugs, my biggest song to date is about dancing on molly and snorting lines in the bathroom," she continued.
The singer then listed off a number of, er, risque things she's done in the past, even admitting that she had "cheated in relationships" when she was young.
"I lost a massive Walmart deal at 17 for ripping a bong," she added.
"I got kicked off hotel Transylvania for buying Liam a penis cake for his birthday and licking it.
"There are probably more nudes of me on the internet than maybe any woman in history."
The singer then reiterated that despite all of it, her love for Liam was genuine.
"The truth is, once Liam & I reconciled,I meant it, & I was committed. There are NO secrets to uncover here. I've learned from every experience in my life. I'm not perfect, I don't want to be, it's boring. I've grown up in front of you, but the bottom line is, I HAVE GROWN UP."
The former Hannah Montana star then addressed the cheating rumours surrounding her and Liam's relationship directly: "I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating," she wrote.
"Liam and I have been together for a decade. I've said it before & it remains true, I love Liam and always will."
Miley admitted that in the end, she had to "make a healthy decision for myself to leave a previous life behind".
"I am the healthiest and happiest I have been in a long time. You can say I am a twerking, pot smoking , foul mouthed hillbilly but I am not a liar."
The singer finished: "I am proud to say, I am simply in a different place from where i was when I was a younger."
Miley's Tweets have been met with praise from fans, who have re-tweeted and replied to her posts.
One stated: "F**k the naysayers. You're talented & generous. More than most of us can say. Just do your art & thrive."
Another wrote: "As long as you are healthy and happy, I am happy. That's all that matters. I'm so proud to have been a fan of yours since the very beginning. Thank you for always being your genuine self."

On Thursday, it was confirmed that Liam, 29, had officially filed for divorce from Miley.
According to a report by PEOPLE, Liam filed in Los Angeles citing "irreconcilable differences".
The Aussie actor has also reportedly hired a lawyer, Laura Wasser who is known for working on high profile cases including those of Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Garner and Kim Kardashian.
With all of the above in mind, it does really seem like the fairy tale romance of Liam and Miley has officially come to an end.
But as Miley said, we can only hope that both of them are in a better and healthier place for it.
