Miley Cyrus has been admitted to hospital following a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics.
The 23-year-old singer was ordered by doctors to rest just over a week ago after being diagnosed with the flu.
Miley has since cancelled her Bangerz tour appearance scheduled for Tuesday at the Kansas City Sprint Center.
“Cyrus has been hospitalized for a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics and has been placed on medical rest by her doctors,” a statement published on the Sprint Center website said.
Miley also tweeted her own apology.
“Kansas I promise I’m as [heartbroken] as you are. I wanted so badly 2 b there 2night. Not being with yall makes me feel s– –– – – – – than I already do,” she wrote.
The star has had a bad run of health lately, having cancelled her Charlotte, N.C. tour stop due to the flu.
