Miley Cyrus will no longer do red carpet appearances

The star has admitted to feeling guilty parading in front of photographers just because she's famous.

Forget about seeing Miley Cyrus strut her stuff on a red carpet ever again… she’s done.

The singer and actress recently confessed in the October issue of Elle Magazine that she won’t be stepping foot on one again.

“[A year ago] I had to do the [Very Murray Christmas] premiere, and I will never do a red carpet again,” the Wrecking Ball singer confessed.

“Why, when people are starving, am I on a carpet that’s red? Because I’m ‘important’? Because I’m ‘famous’?

“That’s not how I roll. It’s like a skit — it’s like Zoolander.”

Miley feels uncomfortable with being on red carpets just because she’s famous.

And here’s the event that apparently changed her mind… it’s clear to see she’s not happy.

The 23-year-old, who is engaged to Liam Hemsworth, says working on her Woody Allen TV project Crisis in Six Scenes made her realise the positive impact she could make with her fame.

“I’m playing this ’60s revolutionary. Woody plays someone who grew up in the suburbs of New York. He’s got an ice cream machine, and I’m like, ‘People are starving and you’re sitting here making ice cream?’

“That’s my thing [in real life]. For a long time, I couldn’t sleep because I just felt so guilty,” she revealed of her lavish lifestyle.

Miley is now determined to use her celebrity for good.

She continued: “I was covered in rashes because I was so stressed. Even today, I dropped my water on my hike and felt like such an a–hole.

“There are children being sold into sex slavery; how can I go on a hike right now?

“So now I try to do as much as I can through [my foundation] Happy Hippie.”

She might not be down for red carpets, but Miley will certainly be partying. Check out her antics at a “gold” themed party in the clip below.
