It is one of the most highly-anticipated movies of 2015, but it looks like there is one lady who will not be joining the masses.
Melanie Griffith has announced that she will not be seeing Fifty Shades of Grey .
The 57-year-old actress told gossip site TMZ that her daughter and lead actress of the film, Dakota Johnson didn’t want her to see the steamy flick.
“No I will not be seeing it. Well, because my daughter doesn’t want me to. And I don’t think it would be appropriate,” she said.
We agree with Dakota and Mel on this one!
She might not be seeing the film, but she is her daughter’s biggest supporter. Taking to twitter she is regularly tweeting her support for Dakota!
Melanie is no stranger to a steamy flick, with her breakout role as the porn star Holly Body in the 1984 Brian DePalma erotic thriller, Body Double.
We revealed a sneak peek of the film back in July, and we can definitely understand why Mel doesn’t want to see her daughter in that position.
Jamie Dornan will play the titular Christian Grey, while Melanie’s daughter, Dakota Johnson will be Anastasia Steele in the film adaptation of the E L James’ novel.
The full trailer was released last month and it definitely got some people all hot and bothered!
