An unexpected online feud has erupted after Demi Lovato shared her thoughts on Mariah Carey’s diva behaviour.
It all began when a fan posted a meme comparing Mariah to former Disney star, Ariana Grande, implying that the Into You singer is a lesser version of the 46-year-old songstress.
Demi’s response to the post – which was captured by The Art Of Shade before it was deleted – read, “You got it the wrong way around honey.”
Not long after, Demi added her true feelings about Mariah as she rehashed the long-standing feud between the singer and Jennifer Lopez.
The claws come out!
“Mariah is a legend and is so talented but consistently disses people,” Demi wrote. “It’s nasty the way she treats Jennifer. Ari did nothing wrong.”
Demi is referring to the comments made by the Hero singer in the early 2000s, when she was asked about her thoughts on other pop singers including Jennifer and responded, “I don’t know her.”
Demi also jumped to Jennifer Lopez’s defense while bringing up her long-standing feud with Mariah.
The former Disney star continued, “This is why I posted what I did. Jen keeps it classy but I’m not afraid to say s**t.”
“The woman is mean for no reason. Extremely talented? Yes. Superhuman? Possibly. Unnecessarily rude? Absolutely,” she added.
