The infamous Madonna returned to London on Wednesday April 6, after wrapping up the final Australian leg of her 8-month-long Rebel Heart tour.

The Material Girl hitmaker landed in the British city in a bid to be reunited with her 15-year-old son Rocco, who is currently the main point of dispute in Madge’s ongoing custody battle with ex-husband Guy Ritchie.

The 57-year-old stepped off the plane looking refreshed from some well-deserved rest after her world tour.

Walking through the airport, she donned an oversized black coat and polka dot trousers, but she kept her face covered with large black sunglasses.

Although Rocco is currently in the Maldives with his father Guy, sources close to the mother-of-four reveal to UK’s The Sun that she has returned with the concern, that because of Rocco’s ever changing situation, her son is missing too much school.

“She has said she is prepared to fly over to London when Rocco gets back and take him to school herself,” a source told the publication.

“Madonna is concerned Rocco is going to be missing so much school. She wants Rocco to relax but his education is very important.”

Madonna looked ready for business as she hopped off the plane at London’s Heathrow airport.

Rocco has been living with his British film director father and his step-mum, Jacqui Ainsley in London ever since he refused to return to Madge’s Manhattan home in December last year.

Throughout the battle, the Vogue singer’s tour meant that she was unable to attend court sessions in both the UK and the US, further lengthening and publicising the process.

The couple, who filed for divorce back in 2008, were reprimanded by a judge in Manhattan for dragging their son through the acrimonious legal battle.

Judge Deborah Kaplan expressed her disappointment at the time, saying: “Frankly, both parties here have chosen to live their lives in a very public way, and may welcome the exposure, but the child has not,” she said.

“I urge them to consider what is the best interest of their son – which may be to remove him from the spotlight.”

Rocco would rather stay in London with his father than live with his mum.

In preparation for her return to London, Madonna shared her excitement at being reunited with her son in an Instagram post on Wednesday. Posting a close-up selfie, the songtress wrote: “YES! Good things are coming!”

But will Rocco be happy to reunite with his mum? Only time will tell.

Ritchie and Madonna are due back in court June 1.

Madonna has shared multiple snaps of her son during the ongoing dispute.
