There’s one thing 2018’s TV WEEK Gold Logie nominees have in common – they are all surprised to be in the running.

TV stars Grant Denyer, Tracy Grimshaw, Amanda Keller, Rodger Corser and Jessica Marais (Andrew Winter wasn’t able to attend) were shocked to hear their names read out at the Logies nominations event held at Nineteen At The Star, on the Gold Coast in Queensland.

“I didn’t expect it [to be nominated] this year!” Rodger, 45, says. “It’s a testament to how much people enjoy Doctor Doctor.”

Similarly, The Living Room’s Amanda can’t quite believe she’s up for the top gong.

“Now, I just have to make the other nominees disappear!” the 56-year-old laughs.

A Current Affair host Tracy, 58, is thrilled to be nominated, saying it’s “not something I ever would have lobbied for”.

The winner will be announced on July 1. And the stars can’t wait for this year’s event at The Star Gold Coast.

“The Logies are a chance to celebrate the work you’ve done,” Grant, 40, says.

Jessica, 33, adds: “I think it’s great to change up the location. I’m all for the warmer weather.”
