''It's an incredible honour. This is a category that honours the best Australian journalism has to offer.''

Brittany Higgins' story was one of the most shocking news reports of 2021.
For journalist Lisa Wilkinson, who sat down exclusively with the former Liberal Party staffer on The Project to discuss her allegation that she'd been raped by a colleague in Parliament House, the experience has been one of the most important of her career.
And now, she's proud to take home the Silver Logie For Most Outstanding News Coverage Or Public Affairs Report.

"It's an incredible honour. This is a category that honours the best Australian journalism has to offer," Lisa, 62, tells TV WEEK.
"I'm also very aware of the other important work that's been nominated, so it means a lot to be counted alongside such fine investigative journalism."
With the media frenzy and sensitivity surrounding Brittany's story, Lisa and her producer Angus Llewellyn worked incredibly hard on the segment.

"I don't think either of us slept for a month," she says.
"Angus and I had to keep all our investigations completely under wraps for four weeks until we went to air on February 15, 2021, as we covered off every possible aspect of the story."
A Silver Logie is just another achievement in Lisa's formidable career.
For 10 years, Lisa co-hosted Nine Network's Today alongside Karl Stefanovic, before moving to The Project in 2017.
In 2016, she was awarded an Order Of Australia for significant service to the print and broadcast media as a journalist and presenter, as well as to youth and women's health groups.
