Congratulations to Lily Allen and Sam Cooper! The pair have welcomed their second child, a girl named Marnie Rose Cooper.
Lily is said to be overjoyed with the arrival, not only because she has a new bundle of joy, but also because her new daughter shares the same birthday as her musical heroes David Bowie and Elvis Presley.
The 27-year-old, who gave birth on Tuesday night, is said to be in good health and enjoying time with both her newborn and her 14-month-old daughter Ethel.
“Marnie is a real cutie. Sam and Lily are ecstatic about adding another girl to the family. A little sister for Ethel is brilliant news to lift the January blues for the family,” a source told UK newspaper The Sun.
Shortly before the birth, Lily was trying to bring on labour by eating curry, posting to her Twitter account, “third curry this week”.
She also tweeted that she was going to give birth while listening to heavy metal music.
“My husband is currently making me a Pantera mix cd to take to the birthing suite. #cute”, she posted.
