EXCLUSIVE: THIS is how Laura Byrne stays fit and fab (Matty J gym seshes and Baker’s Delight treats, included)

Laura exclusively reveals her food philosophy that keeps her looking so toned, and she may or may not also open up about training with her buff beau, Matty J!
How to get The Bachelor's Laura Byrne’s rockin’ rig

From the moment we met Laura Byrne – y’know, from the comfort of our couches watching last year’s The Bachelor – we were instantly struck by her cool, calm and collected vibe as she strode up those Bachelor Mansion steps to meet Bachie Matty J.

Although, it wasn’t just Laura’s cool-girl charm that left a lasting impression on us (oh, yes – and Matty); this woman scores a 10-of-10 for glow-getter skin, her all-year-round bronzed bod has us scouring the internet for an at-home spray-tan gun, not to mention Laura has the kind of abs that make us want to put down the Twix we just bought from the office vending machine.

Fast-forward a year and not much has changed for Laura. Well, except the fact that she’s been living in a loved-up bubble of bliss with Matty J doing what all ‘normal’ couples do: hanging at home, eating pho and binge-watching Married At First Sight together.

Couch-time and Vietnamese takeaway aside, Laura, like Matty, is passionate about keeping her health and fitness in check – but that doesn’t mean she ever skimps on the good stuff (AKA carbs, carbs, and more carbs).

Here, the reality-TV beauty, model and jewellery designer fills us in on her diet secrets that keep her rocking that bod, and trust us when we say that you’ll want EVERYTHING that Laura’s having…

Laura’s day on a plate is as reasonable as it is delicious

I’m not one to put restrictions on myself. So, when I’m hungry, I eat. When I’m not hungry, I don’t eat. I’m not so big on: “I have to have breakfast, lunch and dinner.” I have snacks when I’m hungry.

But I’m lucky because I really do love vegetables and I really do love salads. Those things are, like, good hearty meals. So, that’s what I’ll always gravitate towards.

Although, when it comes to my favourite foods, I always go for anything savoury! Like, baked savoury goods. I love those cheesy pizza things you can get from Baker’s Delight that have absolutely no nutritional value to them. I like all of them. Give me a loaf!

Laura’s love of Baker’s Delight is giving new meaning to the phrase ‘buns of steel’…

Her (super-refreshing) food philosophy

I think because we’re a bit older now, I wouldn’t do anything like a fad diet. It’s not sustainable; it doesn’t make you feel good.

When I was younger, I may have done it – because I wanted that quick fix. But now, I would much rather eat a good meal and go to the gym. It’s all about balance and that’s so important to me now.

You’ve got to have balance for everything.

Harder, better, faster, STRONGER! Laura says the key to her health and happiness is striking a balance for everything in her life.

Laura’s gym motivation in the gym is something we can ALL relate to

Matty and I go to the gym together but we do very different programmes. Just having him at the gym while I’m at the gym makes me not be lazy, or just scrolling on my phone. Like, he’ll come over and say: “Babe, c’mon. Get back to it!”
