Becoming a mother of two can be an overwhelming journey, especially when teaching your toddler that their newborn sibling is delicate.

Former Bachelor contestant Laura Byrne has been navigating having two daughters under the age of three with patience.

And this was made evident on her Instagram when she posted a series of videos of her daughter, toddler, Marlie-Mae smothering her newborn sister Lola with love.

However, as typical of toddlers, Marlie-Mae expressed her clear adoration and fascination for Lola with a little too much excitement.

The videos as seen above were filmed on the family’s flight home after their envious holiday in Byron Bay.

Little Lola is lying down in a makeshift bed, and Marlie-Mae is towering over her as she attempts to hug and play with her sister.

But mum Laura kept her eyes on her daughter as she doted on Lola and made sure to remind Marlie-Mae to be “Gentle” with her sister.

In true Laura style, she sprinkled some humour onto the wholesome moment between her daughters.

On the first video she captioned it, “How the second child survives a toddler is beyond me.”

She also made sure to sarcastically assure her fans that the end of the family’s holiday did not spell too much trouble for helpless Lola.

“In other news the holiday has come to an end and both of Lola’s arms are still attached,” joked Laura.

Marlie-Mae is a vivacious and charismatic toddler, and her parents are constantly sharing her energy-filled moments with their fans.

On one of the last days of their holiday, Matty Johnson, aka Matty J and Laura’s fiancé, posted an endearing and cute video of his daughter chasing a brushturkey.

He captioned the moment, “Byron.. where even the brushturkeys are fed up of the Sydney blow-ins.”

If Laura and Matty’s humorous and quirky natures are anything to go by, it seems their daughters are a heart-melting chip off the old block.
