The 50-year-old TV personality is the competition’s oldest winner, beating the likes of Olympian Michael Klim and Home and Away’s Kyle Pryor.
Larry was joined by his beautiful wife, Sylvie, who watched on proudly as her buff hubby won the coveted award.
The Morning Show host looked especially handsome in a white t-shirt, teamed with dark trousers and a black blazer. Larry has come a long way since shedding 13-kilograms prior to his 50th birthday in December 2014.
Larry's Morning Show co-host Kylie Gillies was there to cheer on her colleague!
Larry admitted that his desire to change was for his wife.
“For my recent 20th wedding anniversary I wanted to give my wife back the young, healthy guy that she married,” he said.
“Having recently turned 50, I realised I'd need to be more determined and enthusiastic than ever before, because the weight doesn't drop off as quickly as it did in my 30s. It's been a hard regime, a huge commitment and an awesome result.”
The editor of the health magazine, Luke Benedictus, revealed that Larry made history by being the oldest man to ever grace the cover of the magazine, a title previously held by 45-year- old Hugh Jackman.
Hugh Jackman was the previously held the 'oldest cover star' title.
“There aren’t many people who can say they took down The Wolverine,” Luke said.
Despite the fact that Larry now looks like an action hero, the talk show host was very humble about how he achieved the amazing results.
“It’s been a big few months for me,” Larry revealed to Sydney Confidential.
Larry has come a long way since his body overhaul.
“I set out to beat myself, I really challenged myself and took myself on.
“I look at those other guys and I think, they are your typical Men’s Health guys, they permanently look like that, they are pin-up boys for health and fitness and healthy living and that’s not me, I am a pizza and kebab guy.”
Great work and congratulations, Larry!
