Reports first suggested over the weekend that Lamar’s condition began to improve and he regained consciousness.
And now sources have confirmed to Us Weekly that the reality star continues to make great progress towards his recovery.
“Not that much has changed since yesterday, but he’s getting better little by little,” the source explains. “He’s slowly saying more words.”
However the insider revealed that the family are still being extremely cautious, “Of course, everything could turn around in a minute. It’s all baby steps.”
Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashain, Kendall Jenner and Khloe’s best friend Malika have all arrived back to Las Vegas to support Lamar.
With Khloe Kardashian by his side, Lamar Odom has woke up from a coma on the weekend and even begun talking.
According to US Weekly the NBA star is talking to doctors and Khloe after waking up in Las Vegas’ Sunrise Hospital.
“Lamar is doing well and opened his eyes this morning,” a source told the magazine.
“He grabbed the doctor’s hand and his first word was ‘Hello.’” they added, before revealing that he is now also breathing on his own.
“Once he started breathing, they asked him if he wanted to see Khloe,” the well-placed pal explained.
“It is really a miracle. His heart is working and everything,” the insider said, before clarifying that the doctors are still trying to figure the exact cause for Lamar’s coma.
Reports from E! News suggest that the dad-of-two said “hey baby” to Khloe once he regained consciousness.
The Kardashian sister has been by her ex’s side the whole time, with sources revealing that she had been “inconsolable” since discovering the news.
“Khloe says she’s not leaving until Lamar walks out of the hospital,” the insider told US Weekly
Although Khloe has been doing her best to look after Lamar, it seems her mum Kris and sisters are being 100% supportive of her.
“Kris is looking out for Khloe and supporting her,” the insider says. “She’s really there for her. Helping her make decisions and making sure she’s okay in every way.”
Meanwhile Kim Kardashian explained on instagram that her and Kendall were able to put a smile on Lamar’s face – another indication his condition is slowly vbut sureley improving.
“I have faith in you. I believe in the power of prayer and positive energy! Thank you all for your prayers! Lammy- I’m so happy Kendall & I could make you smile today! God is good,” she shared on the social media site.
Also at the hospital is Lamar’s teenage children Lamar Jnr. and Destiny and their mum.
