Kyly and Michael Clarke have taken to social media to confirm the name of their first child, and to thank friends and fans for their well wishes.
Clarke posted a picture on his Instagram account, captioning it: “Heaven! Kelsey Lee you are my angel.”
The news that the 34-year-old model and husband Michael had welcomed a baby girl first broke on the Today Show on Tuesday morning.
The new mum posted a black-and-white shot of herself and Michael, taken in October, saying: “Our little angel is just divine, such a superstar. One proud Mumma and Papa.
“Thank you to everyone for all your very kind messages.”
Former Australian cricket captain Michael joined in too, sharing the same photo and adding: “Our little princess has daddy wrapped around her finger.”
The newest addition to the Clarke family arrived five weeks early, but with mum and baby in good health, it has all worked out perfectly for Michael.
The cricketer is taking part in the Sydney to Hobart yacht race this year, and was hoping to avoid being on the water when the baby came.
“Fingers crossed Santa is good to us and the baby comes just before (Christmas),” he told The Telegraph on Sunday.
Santa must have been listening!
