Kit Harington — aka Jon Snow — may be used to following a script, but when comes to romance it’s safe to say he prefers to stay off-script.

On The Jonathan Ross Show, per the Daily Mail, the actor admitted to fumbling his proposal to former costar Rose Leslie using a phrase we, let’s just say… weren’t expecting.

“I did have some plans to do it, I was going to string up some lights in some trees and do all the romantic stuff, but we were in the country and we were under this beautiful night sky and had a log fire burning and red wine and I blew my load early,” he said before laughing at the insinuation.

“Sorry that’s a really bad expression!” he continued. “I was meant to do it the day after with the lights. What I meant to say was, I popped my question a bit early. Not blew my load.”

The acting duo are rumoured to have begun dating way back in 2012.

He also opened up about their upcoming wedding, revealing that he’s hoping the entire ‘GOT’ cast will be able to make the big event. After all, the series is a huge part of the couple’s love story.

“I rang [the producer] up and I said, ‘I’m getting married and it’s your fault actually’… I was like, ‘You need to factor in a Game of Thrones wedding by the way.’ They [The cast] have all got to be there so the whole thing has got to shut down,” the groom-to-be said.

The duo, who are rumoured to have begun dating in 2012, confirmed their engagement last month in The Times’ “Forthcoming Marriages” section.

“Mr. K.C. Harington and Miss R.E. Leslie,” the post read. “The engagement is announced between Kit, younger son of David and Deborah Harington of Worcestershire, and Rose, middle daughter of Sebastian and Candy Leslie of Aberdeenshire.”

A month after taking their love public in January 2016, Kit, 30, opened up about the early days of their romance. He recalled that they were shooting in Iceland for season two of the HBO fantasy, admitting they were some of his favourite times.

“Because the country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love,” he admitted in a chat with L’Uomo Vogue.

“If you’re already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it becomes very easy to fall in love.”

How very British! The couple announced their engagement in the paper.

During an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden last June, the actor revealed he and Leslie had moved in together.

“I’ve moved in with my other best friend, Rose,” he said. “I’m very, very happy and it’s going well. She has all sorts of ideas for the house.”

He added: “I said to her — because she moved into my house — I said, ‘Look, darling, it’s important that this is our space, that it feels like our space and that you haven’t just moved into mine. Move anything you want around — change anything or chuck anything out.’”

“So I went to the shops and I came back and said, ‘What did you decide?'” he recalled. “And she went, ‘We’re moving the kitchen downstairs.’”
